Sometimes Sharing the “Good News” can bring on Major frustration as folks offer answers or excuses so corny you’d have to search a while to find someone drunk enough to listen. My favorite goes something like this. Oh, no, no,no ! God is a God of love. He wouldn’t send anyone to hell. Inwordly I’m smiling as I listen, Right at that moment I’m thinking, I wish I had a big ole Bridge to sell, maybe toss in a caddy or two if Im slick enough. . In my heart I don’t really believe anyone believes that crap , Its just their way of skirting an issue that brings them to both truth and light.
I’m convinced that anyone who as givin the Bible even an honest second look knows better. We tend to gaze across uncomfortable issues. We do so because Truth and light put us in a place where we need to make choices. We like the story of Noah’s Ark , the building of the rooms, gathering the animals, preparing for the Journey. But no one wants to picture the lost souls, beating on the outside of the ark, begging for another chance. We turn our head as a mother clutches her child while the waters grow deeper oblivious to her ever increasing cries for those inside to “open, Please Let me in”!!! No consideration for Noah inside hearing the screams yet knowing what God has said, knowing that The God of this world has reached the end of forgiveness, grown weary of watching those he both loved and created ignore his words.
We read how disappointed God was with Sodom and Gomorrah and how sin filled the cities had become. How Abraham bargained with God to save the cities if he could find just a few good men. We see Gods Mercy in listening to Abraham and allowing him to remove those he cared for. But scripture clearly shows this Loving God completely destroy two cities the size of Minneapolis and St Paul, Mn. Can you hear the cries of those who Ignored Gods laws ??
Moses took his people through the red sea as God parted those waters. And he watched hundreds drown as Gods wrath and judgment consumed them. I’m convinced that a mere man would have had to turn his back to the horror that was going on behind him . And if he were still here the cries for help would still be heavy on his heart.
This is simply an overview, a short glance into Gods rules. Yet even a short glance confirms beyond a shadow of a doubt Gods intention and his justice.
This world belongs to God !! It is designed to function under a set of laws put in place by the Creator. Even He has to conform. But He provided a way through His Son for you and I to be forgivin. Because He knew we struggled on our own.
The game of life is the real deal. The endgame will play out just as God has instructed. If your hoping for a revelation,,,, its here. The homerun is in Jesus Christ. A. L. R.

LOOKING Back
You know, It's funny how age can educate. I remember how as a younger guy, I used to make fun of those older folks needing that afternoon nap. Today, many of my days focus on just making it to that same afternoon luxury.
While Age may have its downside it offers an incredible window into the hows and whys of ones life, as well as a great measure into how far we have come. I remember being pretty much a know it all in my early 20’s, not sure where I picked up all this new stuff but life sure looks different in my mirror. How the Lord Got through all that is a mystery to me.
It would be easy to whine a little, I came up hard I guess, but not much different than most. Times were much different. So life was simpler. You came home from school, changed your clothes n did your chores. You learned quick that if you dragged your feet doin chores playtime would disappear.
Playin was simple too, buried acampbells soup can in the dirt for shootin Marbles, or “playin Roads” with short pieces of 2x4 as cars and larger ones for trucks. Folks down the block got the first TV in town and we’d go over to their window to watch it. Many times it was just a picture of a test pattern for a long time because there were only a few programs available at first. Cowboy Bob n Clarabelle, Howdy Doody n the Lone Ranger were our every day shows on the radio, then on TV when we got one. Seems strange to be able to see that way back then , And then see where that Technology has come.
I remember gas at 16.9, that’s a gallon folks. I was a gas jockey/Mechanic for 11 years and pumped a lot of it. Every car that came in for gas got all outside glass washed plus mirrors and headlights. Got any Idea how many windows you kin wash in 11 years ?? For an oil change you got all that plus a full interior vacuum. For my Pay I got .25 cents an hour for 9 yrs and a dime raise when I got married.

Folks Were different then, we helped each other out. If A man offered you his hand, it was his word. You took it, returned a firm grip and you were almost assured of a solid contract. If you saw someone with trouble it was a no brainer, if you could help, you offered to lend a hand. .
Things are changing so fast its hard to keep up, And when we do, well we have to unlearn those things we learned comin up. I’m living in a “throw away Society”. Much of what I see in the dumpster is usable. We would have seen value and put it in the back shed,,,, just in case. We would have a “nail pullin” day come summer n sorted out all that stuff. I know my kids laugh at me, but it almost hurts to see the good stuff that’s tossed.
But there are Great changes as well as bad ones Too. Some I’d just as soon avoid. But if I’m to be honest with the Lord I need to get ride of stuff He shows me. Wasn’t to long ago I was reading the part where He says we are as filthy rags, and I thought. Well, I’m sure not perfect, but filthy rags Lord? Come on now. It wasn’t too long after that little statement that He began to show me stuff I didn’t want to look at. His teachings are gentle. A little nudge here and there. But there’s no question as to who its directed at. Its almost as if he picks up that sin, dumps it back at your feet and says now, What will you do with this.
I get a kick out of folks who say,,,,,,God never talks to me..
Not true, not true at all. He’s talking,,, be quiet and listen. A.L.R.

Jesus!!!! this is so frustrating.!!!!
The NAME of this blog, nor the address is, www. cancer-ISNT-scary.blogspot.com. I purposed to call it that to draw attention to it. I wanted you to react, swear at me, call me crazy, screwball, whatever !!! I am now Years into this and i'm convinced your all beyond help. Your so conditioned, that what ever the Doc sez, its Gospel. Doesn't matter what the history says. or the number of folks recovering from cancer. if the Doc says take the poison you just close your eyes and swallow. Heres a headsup,,,,,,,,Chemo-Thereapy KILLS more people than cancer EVER Will !!! Dont take my word for it. the research is out there. And having a PC puts it right at your finger tips.
You have the CURE, right there in your house. STOP Killing yourself !!!~! YOU gave yourself the Cancer, and you can kill it all by yourself.
Cancer KILLED my wife, And I got to watch it take her down day by day until what lay there didnt even look like her anymore. It took 14 years to kill her. and most of those years were not even close to "quality of life"! Jenny took every different kind of Chemo they tossed at her. So dont even try to tell me your different.
Theres an article in here called,,,,"She didn't have to die' thats jenny's story, I've pulled no punches. please read it. Then, Theres another article called "Getting started" a step by step plan to help you walk back to health,. Your not helpless. There are tools here to help you fight.

A three day Journey
At 64 I've heard a ton of sermons, some real dud's,others just tolerable and yet others like the good read in a nice novel that kept you right there on the edge, eating each word and grabbing at more.. theres one sermon that needs preaching but so far no one has the guts to tackle it.
In order to give this story the depth it needs i gotta switch gears a bit. So bare with me and I promise to make this work.
My family spent years on a farm. What we ate we raised or grew. Butchering became an every few months duty and no one was left out. Its pretty comfortable now that we can just select choice cuts of meat in nice clean packaging. but everyone needs to at least see the other side. A nice fatted porker was selected and cut out from the rest. a few minutes time was allowed for the animal to calm down. A human way to slaughter was to walk up along side the animal, place a gun to its head and fire. A good kill caused the animal to drop immediately, legs buckling beneath. Of course not all shots were clean and then another shell , or bullet needed to be used. For good meat its critical that the blood be drained from the kill immediately. So someone needed to cut the throat. in our family it was Mom because the blood needed to be stirred so it could be used in blood sausage.
When the jugular is severed the blood gushes from the wound usually soaking your hand. the blood has a strange feel to it and the temperature is incredibly warm . Wwithin minutes the animal is bled out and the butchering process can continue. When you grow up with something, it is what it is. And I never realized the shock or trauma behind the procedure until my Son came butchering one Saturday. He'd been shielded from all this as he grew up, but the shock of seeing it first hand was written all over his face and i was so sorry I'd taken him along.
God said to Abraham, Go sacrifice your son to prove that you love me. Imagine, if you can laying your firstborn on an alter, table. and butchering him/her. imagine a three day walk thinking constantly of what you must do at the journeys end. hour on hour then day upon day, walking towards the death of the one who walks with you. imagine the knife at his throat and the lifeblood of your son/daughter gushing out over your hand. think of Abraham's struggles to try and reason this all out. And then if you can try and understand how a man could grasp that much faith to be able to accomplish what he must do.
We shy away from discomfort, taking the less traveled course, choosing to avoid many things because it feels good and is easier. But a clear view of things makes for much better decisions

Sorry
Been a while since i've been in. truth is i'm burned out, ticked off n dont even care. I'm fairly convinced that fighting cancer, or getting healthy is just to much work for most of you, to much change for most people. I can tell you what we've found. I can show you in black and white, even document the known carcenogens found in your food. but nothing short of shareing the stench of rotting flesh as cancer eats away live body tissue even moves most of you, and even then in the very next sentence its
'lets head to micky dee's for a berger. "
you've been sold a bill of goods and its literally killing you. what will it take to get your attention before the doc gives you 3 months ? If you have some stupid idea that giving to the local cancer drive gives you a leg up better think again. Have you any idea how many billions of dollars have been givin to cancer research to date? I dont either because I cant count that high. but ill tell you this. in the 14 plus years of my wifes cancer battle, and the many attempt to get help from the American Cancer folks those poor folks were always broke. Where do you suppose those BILLIONS went?? Do I really need to call a crook a crook ?
Look at the way the new cancer wings are growing, its big business!! they know its just a matter of time before you get it. Oh Yes!! 50 years ago your chances were 1 in 50,,, today its one in two, and realistically its just a matter of time. scary??? yup !! but very true. you can go hide your head in a big berger, or whopper but when its your turn it will not matter.
Wanna make this real??go to any cancer clinic and grab a free cup of "tainted coffee and just sit and watch what goes by. sickness and death are very easy to recognize, even in stages. everyone there just reaching for more life, hoping that they will be the one to beat it.
I got pissed one day and said to Jenny's Oncologist. We know the body 's fuel is food, yet its not even addressed as a part of treatment. Now this man has been a Cancer Specilist for many years, His answer, "Well, I think they are going to address this in the new wing. Do you know why/ because you are the walking dead, why bother with Nutrition? To follow up, jenny and I spent Several years in that new wing.
The new cancer center at gunderson of Lacross, wi. offers sugar cookies, wafers and hot chocolate as well as a non organic coffee. Sugar stalls the immune system. do yu think they have forgotten that ??
hearing that doc say jesus is coming is not the correct way to do this. I urge you to begin being healthy today. I stand ready and willing anytime you call. 507-689-2401 , or alroth@hbci.com
